Promoting and Facilitating Mental Health Training for Law Enforcement

Mission Statement

At the South Shore Regional Crisis Intervention Team Training and Technical Assistance Center “CIT-TTAC”, we embrace a community policing model focused on enhancing emergency responses for individuals facing mental health and substance use challenges. Our Crisis Intervention Team “CIT” approach integrates a comprehensive 40-hour training program for law enforcement officers with collaborative partnerships between police departments and local community service providers. Together, we strive to foster a safer and more supportive environment for those in crisis, ensuring compassionate and effective responses within our communities.
